The item is nicely carved as a figure of an elephant with his trunk down (see photos). The item is marked Soviet Union so it is Russian in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). This item measures in total about 5.25 inches high, it is about 5.5 inches long and it is about 2.5 inches wide from side to side. The item has some natural or age cracks in the stone, a few chips and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice old hand carved stone or marble elephant statue to add to your home decor.
