Vintage High Quality "Grandma" or "Mrs. Santa Claus" Kit - Makes 14" Doll

This doll kit is from the estate of my grandmother who was a doll maker and collector. The pieces have never been used and have been carefully stored for at least 20 years. It is parian-type unglazed porcelain and the delicate painting of the face is expertly done with reflection in the eyes, softly tinted cheeks, and textured gray hair. The bodice has a molded ruffle around the high neck of the blouse and there are raised buttons down the center of the back. The porcelain arms have well-defined fingers and there is a tiny bit of tint on them.  The legs have molded black and gray heeled boots with painted black buttons. I have not found another head like this one; seems to be very unique! It is inscribed with "11-60 Jessie A. Cambers" on the back edge of the shoulder which is the artist. This is a very nice doll that will be adorable in new clothes!
