    Description

    Welcome to
    Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a lovely 5-piece Watson Sterling Silver coffee/tea set in the beautiful Georgian design EXEMPLAR pattern. Each piece has a fancy 3-letter monogram "E E C" with the "E" center letter being the largest letter in the monogram. The hinge on both the coffee and teapot are tight and the lids open and close correctly. The coffee pot and teapot have natural heat spacers on the handles.
Each piece is marked on the base with the Watson trademark stamp and "Sterling, Exemplar, New York, Circa 1703-1761". We were unable to find details regarding the marking on this set, however, it appears that the pattern is Exemplar and since the set is a Georgian design, perhaps the Circa 1703-1761 refers to the style or date of the original design.
    Set consists of
    :
    1.  Coffee Pot #S14, 12 (2 1/4 Pints) - Measures 10" high, 10 1/4" wide (from spout to handle) with a 5" overall width. Weighs 765 grams.
    2.  Teapot #S14, 16 (2 1/4 Pints) - Measures 8 3/4" high, 10" wide (spout to handle) with a 5" overall width. Weighs 720 grams.
    3.  Lidded Sugar #S14, 10 - Measures 5 3/4" high, 4 3/4" wide (handle to handle) with 4" overall width. Weighs 365 grams.
    4.  Creamer #S14 - Measures 4 7/8" high (to top of finial), 7 1/4" wide (handle to handle) with an overall width of 3 1/4". Weighs 230 grams.
    5.  Waste #S14 - Measures 3 1/4" high with a 3 1/2" diameter top and with an overall width of 4 1/4" deep. Weighs 220 grams.
    Combined weight is 2300 grams.
This beautiful set is in very good to excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaw being one small dent on the rim of the waste bowl otherwise the set reflects only minor signs of normal wear.
